Today we chat about the "expression pedal" (typical set pictured at left) on a standard pipe organ, and how it works, plus a word on secular holidays. We also mention a hymn text by our nation's sixth President, John Quincy Adams.

Music:
1. Hail the Day that Sees Him Rise (tune: Llanfair)
2. God Mounts His Throne (Psalm 47, written by yours truly)
3. another organ impromptu, (also written by yours truly)

Music lists: Ascension and Seventh Sunday of Easter
Christus Vincit Sports: BISHOPS IN SPORTS NHL/NBA Playoff Finals edition
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Orphans Edition, brought to you by Christ Our Buddy
Shamus sings the same Vote for Us at Podcast Alley jingle to the tune Hyfrydol, which is used for the hymn Alleluia! Sing to Jesus! By the way, don't forget to vote.
Requiescat in Pace: Rev. Todd Reitmeyer, author of the blog A Son Becomes a Father (extra related links: Obituary - Leave Condolensces)

Sorry this podcast is a day late. It was actually recorded yesterday, so everything will be as if yesterday (Sunday May 7) was today. The problem was that the podcast host's server crashed, and they're on a new server as of today. Worse, ALL my episodes were lost. The bright side is that they're all on my hard drive. So I'm re-uploading all of them one by one. It may take a while to get them all up, but they'll get there. Please bear with us.

Next Sunday is Mother's Day. So next week's show may also be a day late so the kids and I can spend the day with my wife.

Today we describe the organs of some Catholic Churches in Central Falls, Rhode Island (click the picture to the left to enlarge). Also, Shamus tells me, "You play like a Protestant!"

Music:
1. I Sing the Mighty Pow'r of God (Tune: Ellacombe);
2. To Victory! by DJ Topshelf, courtesy of the Podsafe Music Network

Christus Vincit Sports: BISHOPS IN SPORTS (NHL/NBA Playoff edition) continues.
Commercials: Saintcast, iPadre, Disciples with Microphones
Music list: Fourth Sunday of Easter
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Casavant Freres edition (Note: These Quebecors are amongst the premier pipe organ builders of our time!), brought to you by the Curt Jester's Haugen-Haas Ice Cream.
Closing: my forthcoming appearance on a TV Mass, and How to Train Your Cat.
