You don't think we got 86'ed, do you? NEVER! We finally have a show up after revamping the living crap out of our website.

Feasts for the week, brought to you by the new book A-B-C's, 1-2-3's, and Lit-ur-gees!: June 27-30.  More info:  New Advent Website.
Christus Vincit Semi-live at the neighborhood softball field: It's all-star girls' softball time (and my daughter Brittany is one of those all-star girls' softball players), but that doesn't stop us from playing and discussing our music for the Eleventh Sunday of Ordinary Time and the Nativity of St. John the Baptist.

2. Ubi Caritas (refrain / Chant, Mode VI)

Listen below, or download here. (45:11/41.3 MB)

Today we will talk about world-renowned Omer Westendorf, the founder of World Library Publications, and his own hymn contributions to English-speaking Catholic congregations.
Also: We have a winner from last week's trivia contest! Listen to hear who it was, and what the correct answer was!
Feasts for the week: June 11-17.  More info: New Advent Website.
Christus Vincit Semi-live in the living room: Hey, we're like, tired, ya know. We've been doing so much time at the softball field lately that it's become our second home. What's nice though is that Brittany made all-stars, so I'm as proud as a dad can be. But today, we go semi-live in the peace, quiet, comfort, and solace of our own living room, while we play and discuss our music for Corpus Christi. We had a Procession after the Saturday Mass as well.

Music:
1. Ave Verum Corpus (music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)
2. O Salutaris Hostia (music by Anthony Werner)
3. Jesus, My Lord, My God, My All (tune: Sweet Sacrament)
4. Holy God, We Praise Thy Name (tune: Grosser Gott)
5. Alleluia! Sing to Jesus (tune: Hyfrydol)
6., 7. Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence (tune: Picardy), two versions of this hymn appear: the first as arranged by Gustav Holst, sung by the Holy Ghost Choir, the other sung by Fugli, brought to you by Podsafe.

Commercials:  Wide Awake Podcast, iPadre Network, Disciples with Microphones
Hymnody in Inflationary Language: Alleluia! Sing to Jesus, courtesy of Realtors for God.

Each year at Trinity Sunday, nearly every parish musician in his/her right mind will bring with him/her the Gott Vater! That is, the tune Gott Vater, sei Gepriesen, along with a translation of the text by the same name.
In lieu of Miscellaneous Outbursts, today we are trying a new line of short ditties - Don't Do This at Church!
Feasts for the week (now including Sundays): June 5-10.  For more information, see the New Advent Website.
Christus Vincit Semi-live at the neighborhood softball field: Today we've gone semi-live from our local softball field, where my daughter Brittany had to play a doubleheader, to play and discuss our music for Trinity Sunday.

Music:
1. God Father, Praise and Glory (tune: Gott Vater, sei Gepriesen)
2., 3. Holy, Holy, Holy (tune: Nicaea) - two versions of this appear: one as sung at Holy Ghost Church as the recessional hymn, the other as sung by Joshua Burke, courtesy of Podsafe.
