CHRISTUS VINCIT ANYWHERE! 89

Listen below, or download here. (34:46/31.8 MB)

Today's show is in our normal format as we continue on our tour of the Traditional (1962 Missal) Latin Mass. Here will cover from the beginning up to the Collect, as we did on our last show. However, this time we will cover this in a High Mass context. When this Mass is done right, it's very beautiful! We also make mention of some of the bishops who favor the Motu Proprio and some who don't.
Also, Fr. Jud McFry returns and opens up a Communications Kiosk.
Feasts for the week:  July 16-22.  More info: New Advent Website.

Christus Vincit Semi-Live in the living room: Getting a much needed rest after the last of my daughter Brittany's all-star softball tourneys, we cover Christus Vincit Sports (final scores from the last of the tourneys) as well as the music we played on the Fifteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time.

Music:
1. Alleluia! Sing to Jesus (tune: Hyfrydol); 2. Holy, Holy, Holy (tune: Nicaea)
(Special thanks to Maria Anthon for joining me on those first two hymns)
3. Asperges Me (Chant, Mode VII); 4. Vidi Aquam (Chant, Mode VIII)
5. The Joy, by David Cyr, courtesy of Podsafe

Commercials: The Catholic Hack, iPadre Podcasting Network, Disciples with Microphones
Shamus' Adventures in Classical Latin: Shamus wreckovates the Asperges Me and the Vidi Aquam, brought to you by Gerald Augustinus' Money-Saving Tips for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles
