Is there a club that consists of people sick of having to sing songs that gloat about everything we do at Holy Mass? If there is, count me in! Mass is not about what we do. It's about what Jesus did for us.  We also include the routine "gathering rant". The two, "gathering" and Communion, seem to go hand in hand in many liturgies. This, btw, is in response to a question/concern I read on a message board that I frequent.  We also review the Mass settings found in the 2012 OCP Music Issue.

Feasts for the Week:  December 1-11.

This episode kind of takes a resemblence to the Easter and Christmas specials that we posted in the past. We could subtitle this The Christ the King Special, or (since we also include Thanksgiving Day) The Last Week of Ordinary Time Special.  We also talk about Black Friday, and issue my annual compulsory Christmas Overkill Rant.

Commercials (the usual three, also scattered)

In What We Have Done, and In What We're Going to Do: Today's feature topic, as we showcase our music for Christ the King (with brass trio - thus the "going down with horns!") and Thanksgiving Day, and reveal what we're doing for the First Sunday of Advent (in addition to the New Translation, of course).

We managed to pull off a show in less than 40 minutes. Let's call this a pep talk of sorts. Why is that? Simple! The new translation of Holy Mass begins just ten days from today (today being XI-17-11, the day I'm uploading this podcast), and we at iSNARK! want to make sure you're as ready as humanly possible.  Of course, this doesn't go without a shameless plug from my own Holy Angels Mass.
Also: another update on my Psalm re-writes.
Feasts for the Week: November 20-30.

Don't Do This at Church (two instances, scattered as usual)
Commercials for our usual stuff, also scattered

For the first time in nearly four years, we have a Catholic Lost 45 to spin, brought to you courtesy of the same guys that gave us Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty. The hymn is Hosanna to the Living Lord by Reginald Heber and John Baccheus Dykes. And lately, my pastor has been programming it at our parish.  Also, the iSNARK! Studio is invaded by babies, more on the revamping of Psalm 151, and the iSNARK! has re-taken up the sport of bowling!

GOODBYE PYRO.TV - HELLO VIMEO!

Pyro.tv apparently went south. Until not long ago, that was our third home for our videocasts (Christus Vincit TV and iSNARK! TV). That site has been down now for quite some time, so I deleted them from my favorites bar. Obviously I still have the channel at YouTube. However, I have now added all our CVTV and iSNARK! TV videos (1-9) onto Vimeo (vimeo.com). My Vimeo Channel is here!

So now you really have FOUR possible homes to watch a new iSNARK! video:
This site (isnarkmedia.blogspot.com), of course.
YouTube
Vimeo
(and, if you're my friend:) my Facebook wall!

And if you haven't yet, don't forget to stop over at NEW Fans of the iSNARK! page on Facebook and become a fan! You'll be glad you did!

OOPS! I somehow managed to create the longest podcast episode in Christus Vincit/iSNARK! history, surpassing the 2007 Easter special by just about two minutes! That is basically because our What Did We Sing Today still came out longer than normal, and I even dropped several pieces I recorded! Oh well, try to enjoy anyways!

FANS OF THE iSNARK! (New Page)

Cross-posting with Christus Vincit - the BLOG!

To all viewers, listeners, readers, etc.

For the past few years, a flock of eighty-some strong came over and joined us at Fans of the iSNARK! at Facebook. Many of you hung around, even during my hiatus of just over a year. For that, I say, THANK YOU!

Since Facebook updated the group site, there is no longer a way to invite people to join the group. Just simply add people from your friends list and they're in. But what if you have friends that don't want to be in our little group? Add them, and they're in. But those friends might get just a bit PO'd. Some to the point of not just leaving your group, but by leaving your friends list. And I for one am not good at holding hostages!

For that reason, I created a new group site on Facebook, titled (for now) The NEW Fans of the iSNARK! Page. This is going to be the new iSNARK! page for Facebook. With this group site, it is YOUR call whether or not you would like to "Like" the page. That gets you in - at your will, not mine. OF COURSE: I'd LOVE for you to go to the page and "Like" it (hitting the "Like" button. But at least it will be your will.

So please, if you joined us at one point on the old "Fans of the iSNARK!" page (formerly "Fans of Christus Vincit ANYWHERE!", btw), or would like to join, simply go to the new site and hit the "Like" button. Thank you much for your support!

Peace,
BMP
